JIVAMUKTI YOGA was founded in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life. Our lineage goes back to their teachers Swami Nirmanalanda, Sri Brahmanada Sarasvati and P. Jois

Jivamukti is a physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous yoga as a vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsā (nonviolence, non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation).

At Aloka Collective we offer 3 different Jivamukti Open Class Formats

Open : less descriptions on the how to more focus on a stricter vinyasa. It can be considered a more advanced class, but open to all

Medium: Moving in Vinyasa at a slight slower pace still discovering the Art of Vinyasa and different asanas.

Light: you can expect a slower pace we focus on the essence and build up from here.
